Burke Mountain is located on the North East side of Coquitlam, and borders Port Coquitlam at Coast Meridian and Victoria. Burke Mountain consists of both detached homes and townhomes, and is an area of Coquitlam that has recently undergone massive development and rezoning. Therefore, the majority of the properties are year 2005 or newer. Many of the homes are on the greenbelt, making Burke Mountain a hub spot for nature-lovers and hikers. There are a variety of hiking trails and biking trails in the neighbourhood and Minnekhada Regional Park nearby. The newer detached homes typically consist of a smaller lot, with a large interior square footage space, and the townhomes typically range from 1200-1500 square feet for a 3 bedroom and 1600-2400 square feet for a 4 bedroom (interior space).
Coquitlam’s newest neighbourhood is here, and it couldn’t be in a more beautiful part of the city. Burke Mountain – referred to as “Northeast Coquitlam” in the city’s Official Community Plan – is rapidly growing, and welcoming all buyers. This mountainside community is still in the preliminary stages of building, but is well on its way and is move in ready today. Currently there are 4 styles of housing that are being built in the area: large estate style residences, single family detached homes, rowhouses, and traditional condos/townhouses. This is a large variety of housing types that are all being built in one neighbourhood making it perfect for anyone looking to buy. The estate homes are perfect for luxury living in Coquitlam, the detached homes are perfect for raising a family, and the condos are essential for the first time buyers.
You’re within a 5-10 minute drive to the Costco, Coquitlam centre mall, save-on foods, 7-11, shoppers drug mart, and many other grocery/shopping stores. Many of these amenities are also a direct bus ride away. The closest movie theatre is in Pitt Meadows. Because Burke Mountain one of the newest development areas in Coquitlam, you’re still within the trees and a little bit further from all the bustle. It’s still quiet, but close enough to everything you need that you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere.
